Report Development
Our core business. Whether in response to pressures from consumers, regulators and investors or their own convictions of the benefits of openness and transparency, increasing numbers of companies are reporting on their environmental, social and sustainability issues.
Since 1996 we have assisted in the development of reports for a range of international clients. We offer a menu of services to help our clients tailor the work programme which best fits their needs. This flexibility means that we can adjust our level of involvement to complement the expertise of the client’s team – from offering advice and guidance through to coordinating and implementing the entire project.
The major areas of reporting service we offer are:
-
Report scoping and planning
What type of report is needed? Will it be hard and / or soft (electronic)? For which audiences is the report intended, and what are the views and expectations of these audiences? How are competitors reporting, and what is current best reporting practice? What level of content detail is needed? What style and tone is needed for optimum communication and credibility? Timings?
-
Data collection
Is data already available for collation? Does it need to be generated as a separate exercise? Is it reliable enough to be verified?
-
Report drafting
Both hard and soft (electronic) versions? Each requires its own approach. Design is at least as important to the overall communication process as the text: we need to liaise closely with the design team.
-
Feedback strategy
How will the success of your report be measured? Will different methods be needed for hard and soft versions? How will the feedback data and conclusions provide input for the next programme?
-
Drafting review for international clients (offered as a ‘stand alone’ service)
Review of English drafts by non-English speakers, or draft translations from other languages. Useful in ensuring accuracy both of language and of content.
